FAQ for First day and Beyond:

• What do you bring on the first day?

  First and foremost: bring a smile and great attitude! Also remember to bring any paperwork requested by financial aid or the business office. Bring a notebook, pen, and a personal technical device (laptop or tablet).

• What to wear?

  You will receive a uniform shirt during orientation. Wear black pants or a skirt, black closed-toe shoes, and ensure your hair, skin, and nails are groomed.

  Your daily uniform requirements for the regular term will be reviewed during orientation.

• What to expect the first week(s)?

  A lot of fun! It can be overwhelming, but we are here to help. There will be a lot of information given to you, so don’t be surprised if you are called back to an instructor office or asked to speak with an administrator. There are seemingly endless compliance requirements, so completing and submitting paperwork on time and handling all elements of your enrollment in a timely way will make your experience at L’esprit Academy smoother. You will receive a checklist so you can visit every station we have setup, check off the items and make sure everything is done!

• Who will be the teacher?

  Prior to your first week of class, you’ll receive an email with a schedule and information about your instructor.

• What should I plan for food?

  There are refrigerators and microwaves at both campuses. Both campuses are also close to dine-in or take-out restaurants. Outdoor seating options with benches and picnic tables are available.

• Where to park?

  At our Canton location, you can find parking along the side of the buildings at both the Training & Headquarters side and the Student Salon side. We recommend parking in the corner lots.

  At our Southfield location, you can find parking in front of the building.

• Where can I get more information?

  Visit our website www.lespritacademy.com/consumer-information for links to our student catalog, drug and alcohol policy, campus safety/annual security report, and other helpful content.

• What is “Orientation”?

  For the first several days we will be assigning lockers, distributing uniforms, books, and portions of kits, hosting team building events, and giving you your name badge among lots of other amazing education! Some classes might even participate in a graduation and awards ceremony!

• Where do I go for Orientation?

  Students will attend orientation at the following location:

  Southfield Students: 26205 Greenfield Rd, Southfield, MI 48076

  Canton Students (Training Center): 40211 Ford Road, Canton MI 48187

• What if I’m late or can’t make it the first day?

  We understand that life happens—especially on important days! Just give us a call at 734-762-0200 to let us know you can’t make it on the first day. We want to make sure you have a proper orientation before you start so we will work with you to make alternate arrangements.

• Who do I go to with questions?

  You will receive an email before you start with information about our staff and who to go to when a question or concern needs to be addressed. We will also have information at each campus to guide you.
